Suzanne Aubert

Today we had to make either a padlet or a slide about Suzzane Aubert because this week is ...   Suzanne Aubert week. A padlet is similar to a slide but way easier to use and you can add text and photos quick smart. You can choose lots of amazing backgrounds without even typing it up you can type up backgrounds as well.You copy the URL off the video with a two finger tap and go to your padlet and press the + button at the bottom of your padlet and once you've got that press the link button and CTRL V pastes it press enter and the video will show up.

Math's Update.

In Math's, we have been using big textbooks. There are different colours for the different stages. Blue book is stage 6 in New Zealand maths curriculum light green is stage 7 dark green and orange book is also staged 7 New Zealand.

I chose Orange book Stage 7 W.A.L.T Order mixed fractions. Because I thought it would be good to do something different then Divide. I also thought it would be a nice challenge. The first Page was something like this If  ?  is a number between 1 and 4. What number might? be? Extra Extra

Goal's for the term.

 My Goals For This Term. 

MATHS

My goal for math's this term is to be able to add and subtract decimals.By the end of the term, I want to be able yet 95 or more rapidly inessential facts.

LITERACY

My goal for this term in literacy is to be able to understand the meanings of different words.By the end of the term, I want to be able to skim, scam, and sort.

OTHER 

My goal for athletics this year is to be able to participate in everything. By the end of the term, I want to be able to support everybody in sports during class time.

CURIOSITY.COM

I am currently in the middle of of a slide about the worlds longest  pedestrian bridge it is terrifyingly long and skinny it looks so steep from in the pictures. 

We had to go on to CURIOSITY.COM a super cool website and look at all the mind blowing facts about totally different thing's.We click on the picture and up pops loads of awesome information.  

After we read the mind blowing info we start to make some fantastic slides about what ever we read in this instance the world's longest pedestrian crossing bridge. It takes about a weeks work to make a fascinating piece of work.     

It takes about a school's week of work because we need to make a good amount of slides that have lots of information and photos. We also need to write down some more info so we don't read of the slide because that ruins all the hard work you or we have done.

Yesterday was the cross country at the cutlers farm on Takahue road. I live on that road, so I decided to ride my horse. We got there fast. Everyone wanted to cuddle my horse Lady, they thought that she was as fluffy as a teddy bear.  

After we tied Lady up the first race begone the year 3 boys were on there way up the hill through the mud and striving to the finish line.

After the year 3 boys and girls raced. It was year 4 boys and girls they did the same track.

The year 5 girls were talking about who we think would place 1, 2,and 3. Alyx said straight to my face I don't think you will place because your chubby.

I was humiliated and sad that she made me shut down before the race.

Then after half an hour of cheering and screaming, It was our turn we had to do a much longer harder muddier steeper track. We hato

run 3 k’s. But I was up to the challenge, so I grabbed some mud and played Rickie Backer style.

Ready Set Go. Just like that was on my way down the gravel; up the hill of clay trying not  to let my shoes get eaten by the mud. Then across the stream. The hills got steeper and steeper.My asma struck me I was struggling. ‘’I can't give up now’’ I said I was catching up to Therese and Alyx. Nope couldn't catch up to Therese  Alyx ang I were running together we got to a water troff splash head first ‘’ Ahh much better.’’

Therese nearly at the finish line. I keeped on thinking about what Alyx said to me. I raced past Alyx I was speeding up and up as I sprinted down the hill and through the finnish line ‘’VICTORY IS MINE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!’’ I thought to myself. Even though I came second I tried my hardest and that's better than winning. Taryn got a ride back on the quad bike, I was so jealous my legs were burning.

Alyx was crying she knows what she said to me. I used my values and invited her to my house.

We had a wash in the river it did not work after all because  I tripped on the way out. I was freezing luckily I was prepared.

Alyx and I doubled back on Lady my horse.When we got back we were So saw..  A. we ran three cays. B. We horse rode three cays.

We were both starving so we made a pizza we added a bit of spag and a little bit of pineapple with ham and grated cheese on top perfection.  Chuck it in the oven she'll be right rong our pizza was to big for the top rack so we moved it down a rack.

The cheese was melted so we thought it was ready. Yum NO  the spaghetti was still cold so we had to microwave the pizza.  

After we had a feed we just chillaxed the rest of the day.’’I wish I could ride my horse to school every day what a work out.’’ I said.

Vocabulary

. I select a variety of words and phrases to make the meaning of my writing really clear and/or create mood.

. I choose words to make people want to read my writing. (For example: powerful nous and verbs, exciting adjectives and adverbs, similes, metaphors, synonyms and onomatopoeia.

Spelling

. I spell most Essential List words correctly.

. I attempt some difficult words using my knowledge of spelling rules.

. I attempt some difficult words using my knowledge of morphemes.

. I write all sounds I hear in a word.

Math's

I am getting higher and higher fro my basic facts and I focus

 hard.

. In green book/blue book I am trying to finish it in time.

I am trying to finish my 2 week contract in time and focus harder on the big activity's. 

Improved and Nailed.

This week I have IMPROVED on hand writing.I have consistently been focusing on the size and shape of my letters.

This week I have NAILED basic facts last week I got 89 and this week I got 95 at home I have practicing every day and i'm proud of it.

Goal's for next week.

My writing goal is to spell correctly and have more wow words in my story's. 

My reading goal is to finish my riddles faster and start to finish my 2 chapter books at home.

My math goal for next week is to get higher and higher and improve in my basic facts and finish my problem solving. 

In PE I want to participate more and be OK to work with other people who arnt my friends.

 My writing goal for this week is to use one extra wow word in my sentences. For math's this week I wold  like to reach 97 in my basic facts, but I know it rely hard to improve when I this high. My reading goal for this week is to read currently and to know big words. For swimming i want to focus and  improve with my technique.

Hopes and Dreams.        

Hi my name is Danika and this year I am in Tui class.This year I wold like to get into the ninety's for my basic facts. I wold also like to learn all my times tables. Those  are all my hopes and dreams for maths.For reading this year i wold love to finish my very thick book and to start a new chapter book. My other goal for reading is to read each night before bed. My last goal  for school learning is about my writing I hope that i can learn to use and to spell words coracle. I want  learn big interrelating wow words.My goals for home is to exerciser more and to get involved into horse ridding even more.
