NZ Native Clay Bird's.

In week three my class and I decided that we were going to make some native New Zealand birds made out of clay.Mrs Cutler printed off some native birds for us. I chose the amazing Kereru because it was very colourful and I thought this will be fun.

Next we drew our bird that we selected earlier with the picture as our guide. We ticked the drawing that we liked the most. Then a couple days latter Mr.s Cutler brought in some air dry clay.So we got to work making a rough shape of the native bird that we selected. We couldn't just push the clay together otherwise it would just snap of when it drys, so we had be careful.

Then we added details with some clay modelling tools. We left the clay over the weekend to dry.On Tuesday we started painting each color of our native birds one by one.We left our clay creations to dry overnight.

In the morning we had a look at our art and without a doubt we were all proud of our work.  Here's my work

Help make a change.

We created an animation to share a message about an environmental issue in NZ/world.
I chose to make mine about pollution because it is getting worse and worse and I want our amazing creatures to survive my life time and more....
